Frequently asked questions

How do I contact the Ausländerbehörde Bad Krozingen?

Address: Basler Straße 30, 79189 Bad Krozingen. Phone: +49 7633 407-0. E-mail: auslaenderbehoerde@bad-krozingen.de. Opening hours as published by the office: Vorsprache nur mit Termin (Terminvereinbarung telefonisch oder per E-Mail).

How do I get an appointment at the Ausländerbehörde Bad Krozingen?

The office explains on its website how it gives appointments: https://www.bad-krozingen.de/leistung/Auslaenderbehoerde-service3009

My residence permit expires and I have no appointment yet. What applies?

The application counts, not the appointment: if you apply for the extension before the permit expires, it is deemed to continue until the office decides (§ 81 (4) AufenthG). Apply in a way you can prove, for example in writing or through the office’s online form.

Is the immigration office also responsible for naturalisation?

Not everywhere. The naturalisation certificate is issued by the citizenship authority (§ 16 StAG); which body that is locally is decided by the federal state. In many places it is a different office.
