Address: Marktstraße 7, 72622 Nürtingen. Phone: +49 7022 75-0. Opening hours as published by the office: Montag 07:30 bis 12:00 Uhr; Dienstag 07:30 bis 12:00 Uhr und 14:00 bis 17:00 Uhr; Mittwoch geschlossen; Donnerstag 07:30 bis 12:00 Uhr und 14:00 bis 18:00 Uhr; freitags voraussichtlich bis Ende Oktober 2026 geschlossen.

How do I get an appointment at the Ausländerbehörde Nürtingen?

The office explains on its website how it gives appointments: https://www.nuertingen.de/buergerservice/kontakt-aemter/dezernat-ii-ordnung-bildung-kultur/ordnungsamt/auslaenderbehoerde-1

My residence permit expires and I have no appointment yet. What applies?

The application counts, not the appointment: if you apply for the extension before the permit expires, it is deemed to continue until the office decides (§ 81 (4) AufenthG). Apply in a way you can prove, for example in writing or through the office’s online form.

Is the immigration office also responsible for naturalisation?

Not everywhere. The naturalisation certificate is issued by the citizenship authority (§ 16 StAG); which body that is locally is decided by the federal state. In many places it is a different office.
